Welcome to the Spring 2024 Make-along! Our make-alongs are a wonderful way to learn and grow in new ways. We accomplish that through learning knitting and crochet skills, accountability (to stick to your making goal!), round the clock support and connection with other creativity loving makers. So we hope you'll consider joining in! This kit option includes everything in the virtual option plus yarn.

About the pattern:

The Faye Fringe Bag is a fabulous accessory, worked in a gorgeous mix of yarns using a unique textured stitch. This soft structured bag can be carried by the top handle or as a clutch and adds a splash of color to any outfit! It is a perfect project for experimenting with color, texture, and fringe!

Here's what you can expect in our make-along:

~ Exclusive - These patterns will be exclusive to MAL participants for about 6 to 12 months. You will have access to all 4 MAL patterns and video tutorial content for all 4 patterns forever through Teachable.

~ Round the clock help - Myself and the Knit Collage team are here to help you make your project a total success! Zoom sessions with our teachers and the Facebook and community is here for you when you need it.

~  Video tutorials for our Knitting 101 and Crochet 101 courses. If you're newer to knitting or crochet, these will be super helpful! 

Kits will be available for one week only. You'll be able to purchase them from April 17 through April 24th. Then the patterns will not be available for another 6 to 12 months.

* The yarn needed to complete this project,  including  1 skein Spun Cloud,  1 skein Daisy Chain, and 1 Wildflower Mini Skein Kit

* Make-along Guide with the pattern and all the info and resources you'll need to be successful with your project. You will receive the Welcome Guide and MAL Schedule as a PDF download with your purchased kit asap. The patterns for the MAL designs and bonus styles will available and accessible via Teachable and Dropbox on May 1st, our official cast on day, not at the time of purchase.

* Muslin pouch, tapestry needle, 3 Cocoknits stitch markers, a tape measure and a pretty embellished ribbon from my India travels tying it all together.

Skill Level: Beginner 

Needle/Hook Sizes:

Size US 13 (9 mm) 32” / 80 cm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge, 2 sets in total

Size N/P / US 15 (10 mm) crochet hook for provisional cast-on 

Size I / US 9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook for finishing fringe at side seams.

Finished Measurements:

Bag Width (without fringe) = 17” / 42.5 cm

Bag Height = 12.25” / 30.5 cm

Handle Opening Width = 4.5” / 11.5 cm

Handle Height = 2” / 5 cm

10 sts and 23 rows  = 4.5” / 11.5 cm in Textured Stripe Stitch (See Pattern Notes) worked flat on knitting needles, steam blocked

* Main Color 1 (MC1):  1 skein Spun Cloud (100% wool; approx. 100 yds (92 m) / 200 g) shown in Bodacious Pink

* Main Color 2 (MC2):  1 skein Daisy Chain (95% wool / 4% silk / 1% polyester; approx. 60 yds (55 m) / 100 g) shown in Sweet Papaya 

* Contrast Colors (CCs): 

* 1 Wildflower Mini Skein Kit [(approx. 85 yds (78 m) / 100 g) - 5 mini skeins of yarn included per kit, 17 yds (16 m) / skein] shown in Blooming Jasmine with colors used in the following order:

* CC1:  Reflection Pool; CC2:  Lotus Petal;  CC3:  Goldenrod;  CC4:  Neon Blossom;  CC5:  Bright Purple Iris
