So I kinda had the best week ever, spinning new yarns inspired by all the goodies I collected on my last trip to India. I am working a new line of yarn, called Rolling Stone, to launch at the January TNNA tradeshow in Long Beach, CA. It's been heavenly to think about new things while I have the time and space to and don't feel the intense pressure of a looming deadline. Here are pics of what I've working on so far. Last week I made the short trip to the Shanghai tradeshow, Spin Expo, overall I think it went well but time will tell. I have high hopes of connecting with some hand knitting yarn distributors in Europe in Scandinavia who could help us promote the yarns to those markets. Here is a pic from our tiny booth, not so great because of seriously bad lighting!
I showed a few of the new yarns I've been spinning the past few weeks and they turned out to be the most popular ones. I had a bunch of different sample requests for them so spent about 2 and half days this week just spinning up the samples myself. It was relaxing and helped me figure out what their perfect formulas are. I hope to start selling them in a few months time- email me if you're interested in them!
