The Wildfell Hat by Cheryl Kubat
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of pattern designer Cheryl Kubat and her company Tangled Handknits. She has an amazing way of coming up with designs using our yarns that never would have crossed my mind in a million years. Her Wildfell Hat pattern is definitely one of those. I love the way this hat channels traditional Russian fur hats but puts a modern twist on them. The hat has amazing texture because of the way our Pixie Dust yarn is knit along with our Sister yarn. It may be getting warmer out but I think I might just have to knit this now and save it for next fall! Take a peak at the pics below and be sure to check out the pattern too! Handerbeit + Hobby Show in Cologne, Germany
Trammel & I just finished up another tradeshow, called Handerbeit + Hobby, in Germany. As usual, it was a fantastic time. We caught up with the stores we sell to internationally and spent time with our US yarn friends at Artyarns, Koigu, Habu & Be Sweet.
Most excitingly, we teamed up with a new distributor who will make ordering our yarns much easier throughout Europe. If you are interested in ordering our yarns (wholesale only!) please email our new distributor at info@lyy.de or visit their site www.lyy.de They also speak German, added bonus! Any questions, feel free to contact me as well at amy@knitcollage.com
Below are some photo highlights from the show, our booth, European friends and other inspiring knitted things we spotted at the show!

Yup, there was an amazing knitted tee pee in rainbow colors. NEED. Photo from Be Sweet.

Inside the tee pee! Pic from Habu.

Spotted at the show- words of wisdom!

Our tiny booth! We shared this with Artyarns.

My Pixie Dust table. Looked scrumptious.

Barbara, our new European distributor and I! She was a huge help with all of the German speaking customers.

Wilbert & I. Wilbert owns a fabulous shop in Holland called Schouten Handwerken. He has made many pretty things with our yarns.

This shawl with a Pixie Dust border was a show stopper! If you're interested in seeing more pics of this project, visit the Ravelry page here. Sadly, the pattern is only available in German.
The Pixie Dust Boho Fringe Bag ~ again!
I LOVE using our Pixie Dust yarn in home goods and accessories. It can be a little chunky for an all over sweater, but in a bag, it’s totally divine! I designed this bag a while back and thought it was worth revisiting. Today, I finally published it as a free pattern on Ravelry. I know I am biased but I think that Pixie Dust yarn makes the coolest looking fringe. The pattern calls for 3 skeins of Pixie Dust and knits up very quickly. I used the color Aqua Frost, which happens to be my all time favorite. You’ll also need half a yarn of fabric if you’d like to add a lining. Hope you love this bag as much as I do!
