Ladder Stitch Cowl
This is one of my absolute favorite patterns for our yarns, if not my favorite, designed by Danielle Shields. It works amazingly well with our Rolling Stone & Gypsy Garden yarns. The ladder stitch, which is created by dropping stitches, makes for a lightweight yet warm finished cowl. I’m not usually a fan of knitting our yarns too tightly because the finished result can be too heavy and the handspun trim details get lost. This loose, open stitch shows off the yarn beautifully. You’re able to see more of the yarn’s color and texture details when it’s knit this way too. The pattern calls for 2 skeins of yarn but you could use 1 skein if you want the cowl to wrap around your neck just once! The pattern is available on Ravelry here.

The above cowl is knit in Raspberry Sunset Gypsy Garden yarn.

Knit Collage Knitting Kits!
You may remember that last year I collaborated with Free People to come up with a gorgeous knitting kit. Now the same kits are available through our brand new Etsy shop, right in time for the holidays. YAY! In our knitting kit you'll find everything you need to create your own unique accessory from our handspun yarns. This is the perfect gift for an experienced knitter who appreciates beautiful, handmade yarn or for someone just getting into knitting. All of the patterns are very simple and suitable for beginners. The kit is packaged up in a cute neon pink box with a clear plastic top and yarn bow.
Included in the kit are 2 skeins of Knit Collage yarn, US 17 needles, a darning needle and 5 accessory patterns. With the yarn provided you'll be able to knit 1 of those accessories ~ the slouchy beret, the snuggled up beanie hat, the long & skinny straight scarf, the ladder stitch cowl or a pair of fingerless gloves. You are free to choose your own colorway from our Gypsy Garden or Rolling Stone yarns. Photos of the kit & all the accessories you can knit are shown below. To visit our Etsy shop, click here.

The Hoodie Cowl ~ the most perfect winter chill buster!
I am completely in love with our latest pattern- the Hoodie Cowl by designer Susan Sheby. It is definitely our most functional pattern to date, keeping your ears and neck warm simultaneously. The fit it just perfectly snug on your head and loose but cozy on your neck. I love the true hoodie shape that reminds me of my old favorite worn-in sweatshirts. The pixie point at the top of the hood is adorable too. In this pattern, the stitch is a stripe between our Gypsy Garden yarn & Sister yarn. In the pics below, we use Dusty Pink in Sister & Kinari Bazaar for Gypsy Garden. Our Rolling Stone yarn would also work instead of the Gypsy Garden. You will need 1 skein of Sister & 2 skeins of either Gypsy Garden or Rolling Stone. The pattern is now up on Ravelry and can be purchased for $3.00 here.
