De Kooning Clutch Pattern
I am a little behind on getting the word out about this pattern and some of you may have already spotted it in the latest Clotheshorse Magazine issue. For those of you not familiar with the magazine yet, definitely check it out. There are oodles of patterns and ideas filling each online issue! The founder of the magazine, Mindy Brown, designed this oversized clutch pattern which is full of fabulousness. I especially love it because something about it screams knit collage to me! It's bright, big, has an amazing tassle and is 100% statement. Another fabulous thing about this design is that the pattern is free and available here. Their sample is knit in Dandelion Glow Pixie Dust yarn.

Love the woven lining & zip closure!
Introducing the Mermaid Cafe Cardi!
Finally summer is over and it's time to think about FALL and all the amazing wooly, cozy things we can make as the weather gets cooler! I'm extremely excited to introduce our very first ever cardi pattern by the talented designer Cheryl Kubat who is based in Newburyport, MA. The cardi design is cropped, loose fitting and can be made in 4 sizes. The pattern combines 2 of our yarns, the handpsun Gypsy Garden and our Sister yarn that comes in giant 215 gram skeins. The knitting pattern is a stripe of both of these yarns which allows you to stretch out the handspun yarn further and also creates a lighter weight knit that's cozy to wear. The pattern is now available on Ravelry as a for-sale download for $5.00, click here for more info. All of the beautiful photos below were taken by one of Cheryl's good pals and one seriously talented photographer, Meg Manion Silliker. For more info on her work, click here. The size shown here is size small and it is knit in Emerald Rainforest Gypsy Garden & Turquoise Heather Sister yarn.
