New Yarn Alert- Maharani Silk!
Tomorrow Trammel & I head out to Long Beach, California for the annual winter TNNA tradeshow. I can't wait for some nicer weather and of course to catch up with all of our knitting friends. We are so excited about our newest yarn, Maharani Silk, that we are launching. It is inspired by Indian queens & princesses and all the brilliant colors and sparkles we imaging them wearing. This yarn is gorgeous combination of 3 happy colors plied together with 1 skinny strand of silver lurex. Skeins are huge with a total yardage of 185.

Mollie Makes + Knitscene Press
This spring Knit Collage is featured in 2 gorgeous craft magazines, needless to say we are thrilled! The first is issue 22 of the UK magazine, Mollie Makes. The content of Mollie Makes isn't just knitting or crochet related. Instead, expect to find inspiration and projects from many crafts, including quilting, embroidery, felting and the list goes on. In their own words "We’re forever on the lookout for new inspiration. Whatever we do, we’re living and loving handmade." Words I also hope aspire to live by! Below is a pic of the latest cover where you'll find a little blurb about knit collage inside.
You'll also find us in the Spring 2013 issue of knitscene, which is always a must-buy for me! This magazine is chock full of gorgeous knitting patterns and always has the latest books and yarn-related products reviewed. In this magazine you'll find us in the 'New for Spring 2013' with a blurb & pic of our new Daisy Chain yarn. Hit your local book store or yarn store and be sure to pick up your own copies of these fabulous magazines!

Mojave Moon Sweater
Earlier this fall I blogged about the gorgeous sweater design called Mojave Moon and desgined by Army of Knitters. The design uses our very own Pixie Dust Mini yarn for the yoke detail. Of course we had to make one for ourselves! I chose ivory cotton yarn for the body and Flamingo Pixie Dust Mini for the yoke area. This sample was knit up by Tori Kendrew, a recent college grad, fiber artist & sometimes knitter at Knit Collage. I love the end result, especially the gorgeous yoke detail stripe and stitch. Take a look below and if you're interested in making your own, be sure to visit the ravelry project page here.
