On the needles today...
A quick update of what I've been knitting recently. Last night I started something, a scarf I guess?! I'm thinking about using this stripe pattern for a little cardi style. I used Aqua Frost from our Pixie Dust line of yarn plus a handful of bright yarns I fell in love with recently at the Purl Soho shop in NYC. Even though it's wooly and perfect for fall and winter, the tropical color combo is inspired by summer sunsets and the ocean. I love mixing all different gauges together to create interesting textures too.

misc balls of loveliness!

Aqua Frost looks so yummy mixed in with these finer yarns. Happy Knitting!
Mixed Up Stripe Scarf
I have been traveling a ton these days! June in Columbus, Ohio, then onto India for a week before heading back to the US. With all that plane time I've been knitting up a storm. I'm not that great about following patterns when I travel and prefer just randomly knitting whatever strikes my fancy. While in India, I started this mixed up stripe scarf. I used bits of left over skeins to create it. This is the first time I mixed our new line of yarns, that's solid without trims, with our first line of yarn that is chock full of trims. I loved the final outcome. The skeins I used are lemon meringue, sugar magnolia, bubblegum twist and honey tea. I knit the scarf in stockinette stitch. I cast on 6 stitches and each stripe is 2 rows wide.
